Baltic Tangent project finalished and reported
Baltic Tangent project, which focused on the importance of land and maritime transport infrastructure improvement as a mean to strenghten labour market and the competitiveness of economic activities in the BT area has been finalished and reported.
The project related directly to key aspects of the BSR development set up by EU concerning sustainable economic growth and cohesion. The project received financing from the BSR INTERREG III B Programme.
The project was formally closed at the end of April while some Tacis/Russian component will carry on a few weeks more. Attached you´ll find our Final Summary report of the projects main findings/results.
One of the proposals is to prepare BT II project - focussing on the devlopment of a network of logistic centres/terminals in the BT area. The nodes are identified and the aim of the new project will be to work out proposals for concrete investments in logistic improvements/facilities, elimination of bottlenecks and also test and try activities targeting business development in the BT economic corridor of regions.
A key group of partners have already decided to carry on the process with the objective to implement this new project. Partners interested to join are of course welcome.
