New TEDIM Project Proposals and Initiatives The 16th ICC meeting, Helsinki, February 2008 granted TEDIM Certificates for the following initiatives/projects presented at the meeting. 1. Supply Chain Management, SCM 2. Logistic Services 3. Logistics Corridors 4. Logistics Information Management - FinRus 2 - Compatibility of IT Systems between Finnish and Russian Companies
The project aims to accelerate goods transport between Finland and Russia and to facilitate border-crossing formalities with the help of electronic information systems. A joint transport database will reduce the work load of border authorities and facilitate the exchange of information between the two countries.
- Baltic AIS Trial
The aim of the project is to enhance the quality of information exchanged between vessel traffic and authorities by testing the technical usability of the Automatic Identification System (AIS) binary messages and evaluating the information content of the different messages. The project was started in May 2007.
5. Public Contribution and Participation The 15th ICC meeting, Lübeck, October 2006 supported further preparation of the following initiatives/studies presented at the meeting as follows.
