The TEDIM TCG gathered in Helsinki to prepare the 14th ICC Meeting, which will be held in October 13-14th in Tallin

The TEDIM TCG Meeting was held in June 8th, in Helsinki. Chairman of the TCG meeting, Co-ordinator of the TEDIM programme, Mr. Matti Ylösjoki from the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Finland welcomed all participants of the meeting. The following countries were presented at the meeting: Estonia, Finland, Germany, Poland and Russia. Furthermore Denmark was presented as an observer of the programme.

TEDIM member countries introduced their national priorities witin the TEDIM Programme and the latest TEDIM related events in their countries. It was noted that there are several active development organisations and programmes, national and international, running at the Baltic Sea Region. The TEDIM Programme regards the co-operation within the BSR very important.

Finland will hold the EU Presidency on 2006. Mr. Ylösjoki informed the TCG that logistics, which is one of the main development activities within the TEDIM Programme, will be one of the key themes of the Finnish EU Presidency.

The next ICC meeting will be organised in October 13-14th, 2005 in Tallinn, Estonia. The Chairperson of the ICC is the Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications of Estonia, Mr. Andres Tint. It was agreed that all issues/ documents, which are to be discussed during the coming ICC meeting, have to be delivered to the TEDIM Secretariat by 15 September 2005.

The on-going TEDIM projects were presented shortly. The new project proposals and initiatives under preparation were discussed also. It was agreed that all project initiatives presented need to be further developed and the presented in the XIV ICC meeting in Tallinn.
