LogOn Baltic Mid-term meeting
The LogOn Baltic Mid-term meeting took place on the 14.-15.12.2006 in Wismar, Germany. 35 participants representing Partners from Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Russia and Sweden participated the successful event hosted by the University of Wismar and the Wismarer Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft. The setting of the meeting was at the Zeughaus (armoury) of Wismar originally built in 1701. The building was restored in 1993 and today it houses Wismar’s city library and seminar facilities, which proved to be excellent for the whole event.
The official opening of the Mid-term meeting started in the afternoon with opening words from Prof. Gunnar Prause, Wismar University, Mr. Thomas Boyer, Senator of the Hanseatic town of Wismar, Mr. Karlheinz Paetow, President of the Wismarer Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft, Prof. Lauri Ojala, Project Director of LogOn Baltic from the Turku School of Economics (Finland) and Mr. Per Strømhaug, Project Manager of Interbaltic from the Klaipeda Science and Technology Park (Lithuania).
Project coordinator Mr. Tom Essén gave a general overview of the project and the Projects Work Package (WP) representatives presented the statuses of the Development Measure Impact Analysis on regional development related to Logistics and ICT (DEMIA), Logistics and ICT survey, Expert interviews and Regional Profile (for further information see www.logonbaltic.info). Mr. Håkan Aronsson (WP3 leader) presented the Regional Responsible Partners Matrix.
The LogOn Baltic Mid-term meeting reviewed activities of the first year of the project and set the agenda for the upcoming winter and spring term.
